Gulf Western & Independent Oils Super Sedan Grand Prix Returns Bigger, Better, and Richer in 2026

The stage is set for one of Australia’s most prestigious Super Sedan events to roar back into action with the 2026 Gulf Western & Independent Oils Super Sedan Grand Prix, returning for two massive nights of elite racing action at Latrobe Speedway.

Set to run across Friday 16 January 2026 (Night 1) and Saturday 17 January 2026 (Night 2), this year’s Grand Prix is shaping up to be the biggest yet, further cementing its reputation as Australia’s Richest Super Sedan Race.

In a major boost for competitors, the Grand Prix Champion will have the chance to take home an incredible $21,500 in prizemoney, with the total prize pool surpassing $43,000, raising the stakes significantly for the nation’s top Super Sedan drivers.

Guy Thompson, Promoter of Latrobe Speedway Pty Ltd, said this year’s Grand Prix will “take it up a notch”, and with the best Super Sedan pilots from across the country expected to converge for the chance at glory, fans can look forward to two nights of thrilling, side by side racing.

Drivers are reminded that nominations close 5th January 2026. With the event’s rising profile and a massive purse on offer, competition is expected to be fierce.
